Books A Million book drive under way

The Asheboro location of Books-A-Million is collecting books for the Randolph County Partnership for Children to give away during this year’s holiday parades.

The book drive will be held in the Asheboro store, located at Randolph Mall, through November 28. Children’s books can be purchased at Books-A-Million and left in the donation box. The Partnership for Children will use these books as part of the 5,000 books the organization gives out to young children through county-wide holiday parades.

“There can be no better gift to a child than the gift of reading, and we appreciate the support from Books-A-Million to get books into the hands of our young children this holiday season,” said Pauline McKee, executive director for the Partnership.
